Shaku Nair

Associate in Extension -- Community IPM

Shaku is an entomologist experienced in Integrated Pest Management in natural and structural environments. She currently serves as Assistant in Extension – Community IPM at the University of Arizona. Her primary responsibilities include translational research on pest management and community education focused on national priorities (school integrated pest management), pests of public health concern (e.g. bed bugs and mosquitoes) as well as turf and landscape pests. In her current position, Shaku coordinates the Community IPM Team, which is an interdisciplinary team of Extension and research faculty within the University of Arizona, and they develop and implement priority Extension programs for Community Integrated Pest Management (IPM) statewide.
